The Mini-Kickers Program

Mini-Kickers Program Benefits

What will my child get from Mini-Kickers that he/she won't get with another program?

Self confidence- By mastering difficult motor skills early on the children move a step ahead of others of a similar age. Mini-Kickers kids discover that they can overcome challenges, thus making them feel really good about themselves.

Early Group Opportunities- Mini-Kickers offers early interactive opportunities where the kids are coached by experts and learn to play with other children in a non-competitive challenging environment.

Anaerobic Capacity- A better anaerobic threshold is developed because Mini-Kickers sessions incorporate physical activities in such a way that the children have tons of fun. They don't realize how hard they're working while improving their anaerobic threshold.

Coordination- No other sport expects players to move a ball with their feet at speed, while moving their body.

Agility- The tremendous Mini-Kickers emphasis on difficult dribbling fakes and ball striking develops a supreme level of agility.

Intelligence- Mini-Kickers kids are asked to make difficult decisions with the complication of limited space while having fun in an active setting. This develops the ability to choose from a variety of options under pressure and fosters analytical and option selection intelligence.

What is your monthly fee and how do I pay?
Please consult class specific information for monthly fees from your school or location. The fee is payable each month by check or credit/debit card. By signing up for credit/debit card you eliminate the need of writing a check each month. We place all credit/debit accounts on recurring billing, if you decide to cancel your participation in the program you would just need to contact us.

What does the monthly fee cover?
One Mini-Kickers coached class per week.

How long do I sign up for?
One month at a time. The Mini-Kickers program is flexible, you can come and go on a month by month basis as you please. However, consistency means greater development. Any player who takes a month off will go backwards and restart with less ability than when participation was suspended.

Where are Mini-Kickers classes held?
We bring Mini-Kickers classes to your child's school or sports location. So that the weather has no negative effect on scheduling we use indoor gymnasiums, medium to large classrooms, lunchrooms and other good-sized rooms in which to train Mini-Kickers skills.

Don't you need more space than this?
Mini-Kickers games are designed to develop tremendous fine and gross motor skills. These are best developed in close quarters where children have to keep the ball close to avoid having it kicked by another player. Mini-Kickers balls are "indoor friendly" to ensure no kids or classrooms are damaged.

Why is each class 30 minutes in length?
While they are a lot of fun Mini-Kickers sessions are also mentally and physically demanding. After 30 minutes of Mini-Kickers young children will have experienced close to optimal levels of exercise and physical stress. As fatigue begins to set in attention begins to wander and fun of exercise diminishes. We aim to finish our sessions while fun and enjoyment levels are still very high. This keeps your little one motivated to come back for more and maintains enthusiasm for greater skill acquisition and long-term fitness benefits.

What summer programs do you offer?
Each summer we will be running tailored soccer programs for our partner schools and hosting organizations. We work with kids on summer vacation in addition to the preschool age kids. Our programs are developed to ensure kids get maximum enjoyment and development.

Win/Win The Mini-Kickers approach is a Win/Win approach to teaching young players. It is the right thing to do because it is fun, dynamic, fair and ethical. The first and foremost priorities of the youth mentor are impeccable ethical and moral standards. The great coach will be able to look in the mirror each and every night and be able to say that regardless of wins & losses he did the right thing for each and every young player he came into contact with that day. This is the ultimate win/win approach to soccer coaching. Win/win is where everyone benefits and the results are mutually beneficial and satisfying for all participants. Through this high-risk creative focus all Mini-Kickers participants are developed to the maximum of their technical, tactical, physical and mental potential in every class. The relationship between the players and teacher is a win/win because although the coach may have to sacrifice statistical wins, the satisfaction of seeing the children achieve and grow as individuals is far more rewarding than short-term victories achieved at the expense of less capable players.

Important Quick Note: The Mini-Kickers approach is fun, dynamic, challenging and enthralling. Kids love group activities with their friends where they enjoy having a ball each, fun games and rapid-fire energetic transitions. It is the positive polar opposite of the traditional lines, laps and lectures coaching method. To the kids it’s a festival of fun, and a party of passion with maximum learning benefits to build great self-concept. In all classes all children move beyond their comfort zone to expand their neuromuscular capabilities. In the crucial area of self-concept fair and equal treatment is essential, however with regard to personal motivations, characteristics and individual needs, the coach will adapt to provide each child with what he or she specifically needs to maximize development. Great teachers recognize individual differences and address each child’s unique needs. The benefit from the Mini-Kickers methodology is that it encourages creativity that fuels performance by drawing constantly on that reservoir of undeveloped strengths that each of us has within us. Creativity flourishes in an environment of experimentation, playfulness & spontaneous behavior.
