Skills Sessions

Skills’ training at younger age groups is a fundamental necessity for proper development and a foundational principal at all levels of soccer. While skills’ training is critical for the young player to build a solid foundation, it is also an on-going necessity for long-term development. Polished skills allow players to function effectively at the fast pace of today’s competitive game.  ASG provides accomplished professional players and coaches to teach these essential skills. The sessions consist of Individual Skills, Specialty Training, and Open Play where players can build confidence and creativity while incorporating the skills they’ve learned. Trainers include Alphonse Ngon, Uche Okafor, "Z", Sammy Ekeme and guest trainers from other ASG regions.

Cost:      $10 per session (block of 10 sessions available for $80)

Developmental Teams

Established Teams in the U-7 –U10 age groups may come to ASG for training, or we will form Developmental Teams from players who attend Skills Sessions, and who are ready to move to the next level. These Developmental Teams are the natural progression from Individual Skills Training to Developmental Team play that will eventually lead to Academy Team play, and then to Competitive Selection. Combining Individual Skills with Team Training allows the young player to experience low-pressure team building as they develop confidence and commitment to the Competitive Soccer environment.

Academy Teams

At age U-10 established players and Developmental Teams will form Academy Teams in preparation for the move to Competitive Soccer, if selected, to ASG Competitive Team at age U-11. This program provides the best preparation and opportunity for players to achieve success in the highly competitive environment of the Dallas Classic Soccer Leagues. Academy teams will form with 10-12 players of similar ability and commitment.
